 Youtubes History

In today's presentations I found Youtube's story to be the most interesting. They started out as a small platform that enabled anyone to post random content that didnt have to fit a certain criteria. It birthed hundreds of talented content creators and let them use a platform that wasnt playing by the rules when it came to video streaming. The rise of Youtube didn't surprise people, videos would go viral in the matter of minutes. Youtube is not only a great platform for public media but a website that establishes its niches determined by the users. The users of the platform dictate if the video will succeed in the algorithm by providing comments, likes, donations, and subscriptions.

Youtube is a safe space for content creators to develop a community around there personality and possibly become a celebrity by uploading to a free website. The amount of potential is immeasurable on Youtube. Theirs no limitation when it comes to creativity. I personally grew up on YouTube and became found of the personas and people I watched daily. Its also a great educational platform if you let it be. Millions of guides and tutorials are uploaded daily. You can teach your self anything on YouTube if you give yourself the time to replicate what you see in a video. I have spent days on this platform and am amazed by the categories of content that is free to access. Out of all social medias Youtube is one of the only apps I engage with on a weekly basis.

 Wi-Fi Timeline

The rapid succession of evolution of wireless networks is incredible to look at. Wi-Fi has been a concept since the early 70's. Its shaped the way we communicate on a daily basis. Access to the internet is just as important as accessing food at water in today's society. Wi-Fi's rapid development lead to an increase of affluent members of society. We receive news and updates at quick speeds and almost all of the nations jobs are centered around technology, more than half of careers cannot be done without a network. As for the time line of Wi-Fi its incredibly extensive and more than 40 people helped develop what we know as Wi-Fi today. It is still advancing at rates we couldn't have ever imaged. 5-G is becoming an essential part of businesses as well.

 Calling it an important piece of technology is an understatement. It has become the essential connector to computer networking and cordless router connection. Wi-Fi is important to daily life, it enables us to communicate ideas and exchange conversations at vast speeds. It allows freedom from the typical office setting and allows employees to work at any location they can receive a signal from. In today situation of the pandemic we can see how essential it is to have wireless connection. It also allows us to stream files from one computer to another without limitations. Its highly reliable, high data transmission rates, and relatively cheap

Market Place of Ideas

The market place or ideas is a interesting concept when relating to strategic communication and social media use and advertising. Each post is an idea that is neither right or wrong it matters on the big picture or context of the post, putting ideas first and the medium second is important. Social media is a form more than a form expression it’s a way to distribute thoughts and ideas on a public display for others to contemplate and consider other meanings and perspectives. Slowly we see Social media’s silencing our right to conversation by fact checks and shadow bans of conspiracy theorist. Through typical free markets bad ideas are filtered out and good ideas are overwhelmingly the most influential. 

If we didn’t have both of those context than positive and true material would be saturated and seen as the simple truth without participation in conversation or debate. Developing rational ideas and consider all possible solutions without a doubt will encourage citizens to partake and collaborate in a discussion . Not one answer is right or wrong, there can be a middle and individuals have every right to be entitled to there own opinion and perception on the material being discussed. A great example is having comfortable lies and hard truths where the lies are in favor in most situations, the main sources of information follow that pattern.

Americans View On War

    Americas eagerness for war can be seen as unflattering and war is typically glorified for patriotic purposes. Also most Americans hold a high regard for active military because of there willingness to put there life on the line for a career. The military is given a large portion of money to ensure protection and maintaining relationships with other countries. The anti war position is prevalent in both political parties. If there is one singular thing that the right and left agree on is american imperialism and militarism. Politicians are learned to be amoral and not tend to not pay attention to the consequences of violence. Money speaks louder to the government versus lives.

     Not only are politicians heavily influenced by large corporations but those corporations influence expansion of foreign operations. The US population in general is ignorant when it comes to situations in other countries, we are easily convinced that the given military actions are some how noble or the best option. American culture is oriented toward action and oppose the neutral side of a situation. In todays society not much has changed since the expansion of america and still are wanting to further satisfy our need to grow as a nation . Americans are aggressive in nature, and when it comes to other countries hurting from our own actions, we dont care until the war is in our backyard.

First Amendment

 The first 10 amendments are known as the Bill of Rights and were written shortly after the constitution was created. The purpose of the Bill of Rights is to clearly define the number of issues personal freedoms and the kinds of restrictions the government has when it comes to power over the individual. The first amendment is to protect religious freedoms and provide separation of church and state along with the freedom of speech, press, and assembly. 

Its used to define the limitations the government can hold against you. Its a powerful document that establishes the governments rules and procedures of operation. Theres no legal age limit to exercise your first amendments when you are born you are entitled to the rights and there is also no citizenship requirement for protection. The social media app Tik-Tok is under scrutiny by the trump administration because of security and safety reasons and Tik-Tok argued against the ban by testifying that there users are allowed and protected to actively discuss political matters without receiving unnecessary punishment and a total shutdown of the app. It doesnt matter if the content is left wing or right wing they should both be held to the same regard and seen as free speech.
