Post 1: Sources of Info

My Top 5 Sources of Information

Surrender @ 20

Surrender at 20 I typically check this website bi-weekly for League of Legends content updates. The site provides users with general patch notes which are updated daily and also has a wide range of developer discussions, special insights from data mining, and PBE (Public Beta Environment) related news and only a select few of players are able to access the server. The reason for it being number 1 on my list how easy it is to navigate and very user friendly,  My main use for this site is the forums. It allows users with an account to actively comment on the articles with developer feedback on certain topics.

Reddit

Homepage - RedditReddit is one of my all time favorite sites for browsing topics of my personal interest. From general discussions or typical Q&A about my major to community art showcases. Its an all around amazing platform that can educate and entertain at the same time. I personally do not post or upvote many in threads but find myself lurking daily at new subreddits and reading other peoples personal view on certain topics that I care about. I like to use it for light topics when it comes to global news. Its interesting to see the counter arguments in the comments. Some redditors write whole essays in response to a post.

The Onion

Changes at the Onion: America's finest news source adjusts to Internet speed. The onion one of my favorites sites for comic relief, it focuses on international and national news with a satirical twist. The articles are presented to spoof other news sites and may fool some gullible people with their interesting choice in headlines. It presents itself as a normal website for news but the more you read the goofier it gets. As someone who doesn't care or is interested in "normal" news this sites presentation is a wonderful parody of everything I dislike about politics which never gets old.

Otaku Mode

Tokyo Otaku Mode (@TokyoOtakuMode) | TwitterThis site focuses on content relating to the niche of lovers of Japanese culture. It includes information on new shows, figures, anime video games, manga, and film. I enjoy reading articles about rankings of the best shows to look out for during the anime season. Pre-Covid it would showcase pictures and articles of anime expo events showing the best costumes and community creations.
Rock, Paper, Shotgun - Wikipedia

Rock Paper Shotgun

This blog is about PC gaming in particular. The articles are written and drafted by British game critics which focuses on gaming related stories. It covers indie games, developer updates, level design ratings, and AAA titles. My purpose for visiting this site is to gather information on games I have on my wish list and read a critics review of that title. I usually never disagree with their opinions but I take in account my own values and reasoning for wanting to buy a game. They are trust worthy enough to skew my view on my video game purchasing endeavors. Virtual goods have a certain level of value to me that not much other materials do. I like to be informed and make a smart decision before draining money into something that I may regret.
